This iteration of the SlingShot Classic is made entirely of vegetable tanned leather. The uppers are a combination of smooth and tumbled leather dyed terracotta orange. Light grey, nearly white, contrast stitching is a nod to the staining that develops on a terracotta planter over time. The lining is an undyed, tumbled vegetable tanned leather. Incredibly soft with a buttery feeling.
All aspects of this pair will change and patina uniquely to each wearer over time. Don't buy them if you want something that will look the same forever - buy them only if you will enjoy watching them change. Expect them to darken, change shape in accordance with your foot and gate, and to hang on to some staining and marking. They can be polished or conditioned as you see fit - you could make them shiny if you wanted to. And when you start to wear through the sole you can reach out to have it replaced.
